About Me

Hi there, and welcome to my page!

My name is Alex Rankin.

I’m a Niagara resident – born and raised – and I am currently attending the Public Relations program at Niagara College.

Growing up I never really knew what I wanted to be, but always knew I wanted to do something that allowed me to be creative. I completed my undergraduate degree at Brock University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Linguistics: Speech and Language Sciences – here I discovered my passion for communications. After attending Brock, I went on to complete my Master of Public Administration at Queens University, graduating in 2018. Although this degree allowed me to pursue my passion of communication, I didn’t find it allowed me to be as creative as I had hoped – this is what led me to Public Relations.

I am currently working as a Young Adult Peer Leader at Niagara Region Public Health. In my role I teach youth about healthy living topics (anything and everything, from healthy eating to media literacy) and I get to meet amazing youth from all over the region.

In my spare time you can find me crafting, DIYing, traveling, eating pizza, spending time with my friends and family, and going on walks with my favourite companion, my dog Murphie.

If you have any questions or would like to hear more about me,
